Meet Your Provider:
Jennifer Zaccaria, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC
Hello, I’m Jen
I’m a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
I am a native Floridian, but love traveling to the beautiful Pacific North West.
I received my Doctorate of Nursing Degree from University of Florida (2023- Go Gators!)
Before becoming a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I worked as an RN in the PICU, ER, and Hospice.
Those experiences, taught me how life circumstances can affect our mental health, and gave me a particular appreciation for the impact of grief, stress, loss, illness, caregiving, and major life changes.
In my practice, I focus on proper and professional medication management.
I want to listen and help you with your journey through the gate to better mental health.
I believe that psychiatric care should feel personal, thoughtful, and never rushed.
Your story comes first. Let’s figure out your journey together.

Medication Is Part of the Conversation, Not the Whole Story.
Medication can be an important part of feeling better, but finding the right medication isn't about simply checking a box.
I take time to understand your symptoms, history, concerns, current medications, and goals. Together, we'll consider whether medication may be appropriate and, when it is, find an approach that makes sense for you.
Your treatment can be adjusted over time as you change.
Thoughtful. Collaborative. Individualized.

Difficulty with focus, organization, time management, or feeling like your mind is constantly moving can affect everyday life in many ways.
Castle Gate provides psychiatric assessment and medication management for ADHD symptoms. During your visit, we'll talk about your symptoms, history, and how these challenges affect your daily life to determine whether treatment may be appropriate.
Treatment may include non-stimulant medication options and discussions around lifestyle strategies and habits that can support symptom management.
At this time, Castle Gate Behavioral Health does not prescribe stimulant medications. This policy may change in the future. Please review our medication policy before scheduling.

Castle Gate Behavioral Health uses Alma to make getting psychiatric care simple and convenient.
Alma helps with things like scheduling, insurance verification, billing, and the secure telehealth experience, while I provide your actual psychiatric care directly.
When you begin care, you’ll use the Alma platform to provide your insurance and payment information, complete any necessary forms, and access your appointments. Alma can also verify your insurance benefits and provide an estimate of your expected cost before your first visit.
The important part: Alma is the platform supporting the practice, you are a patient of Castle Gate Behavioral Health, and I am the provider you’ll be meeting with.
You can think of Alma as helping take care of the behind-the-scenes details, so we can spend our time together focused on you.
-
Yes. Castle Gate Behavioral Health works with Alma to process insurance and payments. Alma can verify your insurance benefits and help you understand your expected costs before your first appointment.
Because insurance plans and coverage can vary, your specific benefits will be reviewed through Alma before you begin care.
What if I don't have insurance?
Private-pay options are available. I also offer sliding-scale fees for eligible patients, because I believe cost shouldn't be the only thing standing between you and getting care.
How do payments work?
All insurance and payment processing is handled securely through Alma. You’ll provide your insurance or payment information through the Alma platform, and Alma will handle the billing process.
This allows me to focus on what matters most during our time together: your care.
Will I know what I’m expected to pay?
Alma can provide an estimate of your expected out-of-pocket cost based on your insurance benefits. Your actual cost may vary depending on your insurance plan, deductible, copay, coinsurance, or other coverage requirements.
If you're using private pay, your fee will be discussed with you before your appointment.
Currently I am not able to accept patients under Optum or United Healthcare.
-
At this time, Castle Gate Behavioral Health does not prescribe benzodiazepines or stimulant medications.
We do provide care for conditions such as anxiety and ADHD, and when medication is appropriate, we focus on non-controlled medication options and other evidence-based approaches that may help manage symptoms.
If you’re looking for care for anxiety, ADHD, or another mental health concern, we’re happy to discuss whether Castle Gate may be a good fit for you.
